Led Zeppelin’s Recording Console Heads to Auction

The console used in the recording of Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven and many other classic recordings will be auctioned next month by Bonhams

The recording equipment was used in Led Zeppelin IV and Bob Marley’s ‘I Shot the Sheriff.’ Eric Clapton, David Bowie, and Stephen Stills, among many others, used the console from 1970 to 1974 until it was put into storage until 1996.

Bonhams is holding an ‘Entertainment Memorabilia‘ auction, which will begin December 11th and will feature many guitars and other equipment owned by famous musicians.
